Solstices :Christian , Roman, or Pagan
CHRISTIANITY: The verification of the date of appearance of Jesus of Nazareth is missing. There is sufficient proof in the Gospels to indicate that Jesus was born in the autumn. By the commencement of the 4th century , there was intense attention in selecting a day to celebrate Jesus birthday. The european church leaders preferred DEC-25 as this was already the date accepted throughout the Roman World as the birthday of an assortment of Pagan gods. Eastern churches begun to celebrate Christmas after 300 CE.
