Green Color Schemes For Your Wedding
For a spring or summer wedding green is a great color to work with. Whether your venue is outdoors or in, a green wedding color scheme will give you options ranging from an elegant and traditional feel to a vibrant and fun scheme. Take a look at these three color schemes for your wedding day:
Green, Yellow and Ecru:
This is a lovely sunny color scheme perfect for an outdoor wedding. It would suit more rustic touches such as wooden buckets, glass jars and picnic baskets, making a nice choice for an informal garden wedding. Keep the green to the mid shades, anything from sage through to grass green and choose a lemon yellow for a bright zesty scheme.
For flowers look for sunflowers, Shasta daisies and roses with cream colored hydrangeas, stocks and freesias. Or if you would like a more exotic feel to your wedding scheme, choose orchids and spider chrysanthemums and accent with twisted willow.
Green, Red and Aqua:
This is an unusual combination but they combine to make a wonderfully vibrant scheme, perfect for a beach wedding or for a tropical theme. The bright lime green is brought to life by the scarlet red and accented with aqua blue. White can also be added to provide the perfect blank canvas to showcase these colors. Decorate your tables with colored glasses and tea light holders and keep your flower arrangements simple.
This scheme does lend itself to fifties inspired details such as corsage hair accessories and full skirted 50′s style dresses. Use these colors in equal quantities as they all balance each other out to create a scheme filled with fun and vibrancy!
Green, Blue and White:
These three colors can be used in different shades to create a vibrant scheme or something more muted. Choose soft green, powder blue and off white for a beautifully elegant scheme or go for grass green, aqua blue and white for a bright and breezy scheme. These two schemes work well for spring and summer weddings, but for a winter wedding use a teal blue and add rustic touches such as dried seed heads and natural raffia ribbon to create a winter scheme different to the usual red and green!
This is a nice color combination for those who do not want lots of frills and fussy details, but can equally be dressed up with big blooms and whimsical touches such as lace, ribbons, birds and butterflies.
